New York Legal Translation Workers Discuss Eminent Domain
The subject of eminent domain always seems to be
controversial and usually leads to large expenses for taxpayers and long drawn out
legal battles. According to New York
Legal Translation workers, a ruling made by the New York top court this week
that will force homeowners to sell their properties to the state. The land that these homes sit on is the site
for a new Brooklyn development that will include a new arena and convention
center that will house the New Jersey Nets.
During the courtroom proceedings, a group of tenants and property owners
unsuccessfully argued that the seizure is unconstitutional.
